![]() ![]() I should say this character also managed to leave a mark in my heart in a fathomless manner. He is the crown prince of Chozha dynasty, who beheads Pandyan king Veerapandiya and elder sibling to Arulmozhi. This Ponni's (The river cauvery) son's magnanimity is clearly shown in the climax of this novel, which is what make him a beloved leader to the people of Chozhan empire.Īditha Karikalan- The fearless warrior, good intellect and a rugged personality is what comes to my mind when I met this character. His level headed, composed, reposeful personality sweeps you off your feet and as you get to know more about him, one will helplessly fall in love with this enviable crusader like Vanathi and Poonguzhali (other main characters of the story). He is seen to be a dutiful brother and son to his sister Kundavai and Sundara Chozhan, who goes on expedition to conquer lands and expand his kingdom. This story happens before his reign and he is a young prince. This righteous prince, later becomes the great king Raja Raja Chozhan of Chozha dynasty. The character is introduced only in volume 2, him fighting to conquer the northern parts of srilanka(hope Maniratnam makes this scene a remarkable one in the movie too), but you will feel his presence and the inquisitiveness about him starts to build off well in volume 1. Many, who read this novel would say Vandhiyadevan won all their hearts but to me its Arulmozhi who had my undivided attention. ![]() Arulmozhi Varman- He is my only reason to read this story, sadly i had to wait until volume 2 to meet this young prince charming. ![]()
